Mahwah Mayor Visits PVMoW for “Mayors for Meals”

Mayor Bill Laforet of Mahwah joined Pascack Valley Meals on Wheels during our annual “Mayors for Meals” campaign to raise awareness of senior hunger in Bergen County communities.

“What stood out most to me is that the food is only part of what the volunteers bring people,” Laforet said. “The interaction means so much.” PVMoW recently added a route in Mahwah.

“The people we deliver to are the silent members of the community,” said PVMoW Director Jeanne Martin. “They are the people that mayors don’t usually see.”
